Ayalaan Movie Review:

In the sci-fi extravaganza “Ayalaan,” director R Ravikumar weaves an intriguing yet somewhat clichéd tale. The film starts at a slow pace, with a few unnecessary scenes and songs that could have been omitted. However, as the narrative delves into the main plot, “Ayalaan” becomes an engaging and entertaining experience.

Ruben’s skillful editing, especially in managing transitions and flashback sequences, adds to the film’s appeal. Nirav Shah’s cinematography, though decent, could have been more impactful. The VFX work, except for a couple of minor shortcomings, is impressive and enhances the overall visual experience.

Sivakarthikeyan delivers an earnest performance as Tamizh, infusing the character with innocence and charm. Venkat Senguttuvan’s portrayal of Tattoo brought to life through motion capture and CGI, is praiseworthy, with Siddharth’s voice modulation adding an extra layer of fun and charm. Sharad Kelkar, as Aryan, effectively embodies the malevolence of the antagonist.

R Ravikumar masterfully presents the bonding between Tamizh and Tattoo, offering a mix of fun moments and emotionally resonant scenes. While lacking distinct high points, the film’s lighthearted nature makes it an enjoyable cinematic journey.

AR Rahman’s music, including songs like “Ayalaa Ayalaa” and “Suro Suro,” adds a decent soundtrack to the narrative.
